Altitude Training!

Today we started  off at the table for  breakfast  and at about 9:00 am we left for the altitude training.
The weather was very kind for the  beauty and confidence shared

As the confidence went around we began our walk on the " Elbrus ultra marathon Path"  and  the inspiration  to share the Ultra  marathon story here  was upon  my guide.

With pride and confidence she narrated her passion  and participation In the different trail race around Elbrus and even invited me for one of the races. So if you do not see me in any of the months of may or September ahead, I guess you know where am headed. But not so soon though.
The memories of mountain races in the Swiss alps flooded my mind as we journeyed  through the forest admiring the alpine flowers in the beauty of the sun  and eating wild berries as we gained assent and knowledge of the Elbrus  and its environs. Not  long into  the middle stretch, we came to a very beautiful lake (Name) and I dared to splash her waters with my feet and to get some comfort  from the very cold water. It helped ease the  the tightness and tiredness  i was feeling on my legs  and probably said welcome to Elbrus to my feet.
As for the wildlife , I saw a few mountain goats, no mammuts yet but looking forward to more of the wildlife here.

I am enjoying the Altitude training  very well, and we have done 1600 metres in altitude so far.But not yet on The Elbrus mountain itself. We hike around the main, to get ready for the  real deal on the Dee day. I must say my sleep helped alot today, so I need to catch up on more sleep against tomorrow.

I will be writing again tomorrow.

Cheers everyone and keep the smile.

We are getting there soon.

Alex
